We arrived at Edinburgh on May 21. Flying east from the US to Europe produces that frustratingly disorienting phenomenon where you leave in the morning and arrive 14 hours later when it's morning there. In our case, we left SFO at 11:10 am on May 20, and arrived 15 hours later in Edinburgh at 10 am, with only a couple of hours of less-than-satisfying plane sleep. We took a cab to our hotel, Original Raj, dropped off our luggage, and got lunch. Edinburgh was definitely cold (40s) and rainy, but charming.
