Introduction to Moodle

What's Moodle?

A useful, easy-to-use course management system. Moodle allows users to create courses and social communities, and maintain them with ease.

How was Moodle started?

Modified from "Martin Dougiamas"
Moodle was the product of Martin Dougiamas, a former webmaster of Curtin University. The project began in 1999 because of Dougiamas' "frustration with the existing commericial software at the time". Moodle is used by over 10,000 sites with a large developer community contributing a large amount of features.
