The program will begin promptly at 10 a.m. each morning. Please plan to arrive a few minutes early to get settled before the first session.

What will the program include?

The program is designed to introduce young women to the opportunities available to them in the field of computer science. The program will emphasize hands-on activities such as taking apart computers, programming Android phone app, and tracing how your computer reaches popular websites such as The program will also feature talks by prominent women in the field of computer science and a field trip to a local tech company, Google this year.

Do I need to find transportation to and from USF?

Yes. You are responsible for your transportation to and from campus each day.

Do I need to bring my lunch?

No. Lunch will be provided each day.

Who is eligible?

Young women who will be juniors or seniors in the 2011/2012 academic year are eligible to apply.

What is the cost?

A program fee of $40 is required with the application. The fee is refundable if space fills before your application is processed. However, the fee is non-refundable once you are selected to participate in the program. Space will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Is experience necessary?

No! No prior computer experience is necessary.
