Serene Chong - Teaching Assistant
Serene is a graduate student in USF majoring in
Internet Engineering. After completing a business
undergraduate degree in Malaysia she got into the IT
industry. After a year working, Serene realized that
she is more interested in computers than business. She
is hoping to graduate this fall and to be able to get
an opportunity to work in Silicon Valley. Her hobbies
include outdoor sports, reading, traveling and
cooking.
Priyanka Daultani - Teaching Assistant
Priyanka is pursuing her Masters in Internet
Engineering at USF. Her interests are web applications
and web design. She will be graduating in December
2008 and hopes to continue living in the beautiful
city of san francisco for some more years before
returning to her home country.
Sri Achutan - Teaching Assistant
Sri is currently pursuing her MS in Computer Science
at USF. She got her Bachelors in Computer Engineering
from Bombay University before working for Tata
Consultancy Services in India. She has been working in
the software industry in the Bay Area for more than 10
years. She has worked in application software and code
generation tools.
Jaa Yoophoon - Teaching Assistant
I am currently pursuing my MS in Computer Science at
USF. After earning my Bachelor's degree in Computer
Science from Thammasat University, I started working
at IBM Thailand Co., Ltd., as an assistant analyst/
programmer. In September, 2006, I was awarded a
scholarship by the Royal Thai Government to pursue a
Master Degree in Computer Science . After the
completion of my degree, I have a commitment to return
to Thailand to serve as a government official. I
strongly believe that the knowledge and experiences
that I will gain from study and research will
certainly help me serve my country.
Nathalie Le Guay
Teresa Win - Program Organizer
Ms. Win worked in technical and management positions related to
information technology at large and small businesses. Ms. Win
co-invented getAccess - an Internet security related software
application - at enCommerce Inc. which was acquired by Entrust in April
2000. Ms. Win worked as program manager on Xellerate, another security
related application, at Thor Technologies which was acquired by Oracle
in November 2005. Ms. Win is a member of the USF Board of Trustees. Her
service to USF includes volunteer fund raiser, chair of the Committee
on Information Technology Strategy, and working with the Women in
Science and Community Connections programs. Ms Win has a BS degree in
Computer Science from the University of San Francisco and a JD from
Santa Clara University.
Sami Rollins - Program Organizer
Sami Rollins is a professor of computer science at USF. She teaches
introductory programming and networking courses. Her research interests
include mobile computing,networking, distributed systems, and
educational technology. She is also extremely committed to improving
the participation of women in the field of computer science.
