What will the program include?
The program is designed to expose young women to the opportunities available to them in the field of computer science. The program will emphasize hands-on activities such as programming sensors and taking apart computers. The program will also feature talks by prominent women in the field of computer science and a field trip to a local tech company.
Do I need to find transportation to and from USF?
Yes. You are responsible for your transportation to and from campus each day.
Do I need to bring my lunch?
No. Lunch will be provided each day.
Who is eligible?
Young women who will be juniors or seniors in the 2009/2010 academic year are eligible to apply.
What is the cost?
The application fee for the program is $20 and the program is free. The application fee is refundable if space fills before your application is processed. However, the fee is non-refundable once you are selected to participate in the program. Space will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Is experience necessary?
No! No prior computer experience is necessary.
