The dmz_assert function takes an expression and evaluates. If the result is zero (or NULL) the application is terminated.
void dmz_assert (
any valid C/C++ expression to be asserted (variable, pointer, etc.)
If the given expression evaluates to zero (or NULL), dmz_assert calls dmz_die and never returns. dmz_assert calls have no effect (are not compiled in) if NDEBUG macro is defined.
