Graphic artist for "The Day We Die" is 48th nightclub fire victim

Tudor Golu, age 28, lead guitarist for the Bucharest-based heavy-metal rock band Axial Lead, and graphic artist for a music-video titled "The Day We Die", recorded in August by the Goodbye to Gravity rockband and which already has been viewed over one-million times on YouTube, has died today at the hospital in Birmingham, England, to which he had been transferred from Romania on Sunday, suffering from massive burns over his body and to his respiratory tract, according to Romania's NINE O'CLOCK English-language newspaper today.

Golu was a 2D and 3D animation specialist. His artwork in this music video is quite stunning, and the English-language lyrics almost seem to foreshadow October's fire tragedy, blamed by street protesters on bribe-taking safety-inspectors:

                                F**k all your wicked corruption,
It's been there since our inception

The body of the young artist is being flown back to Romania on an expedited basis at government expense, according to acting Prime Minister Sorin Cimpeanu.

Approximately 150 persons injured during the October 30th fire at Club Colectiv now remain hospitalized, in Bucharest or in medical facilities abroad, the newspaper said.

Meanwhile the anti-corruption protests have continued for six nights so far (i.e., "The day we give up is the day we die"), thus prompting the resignation of the Romanian Prime Minister and all his cabinet ministers. A new Prime Minister was nominated by the President earlier today and now awaits confirmation by Romania's Parliament.
