Subway hours extended to accommodate midnight demonstration

One report said up to 35,000 demonstrators were assembled at midnight on Tuesday (Nov 3) in Bucharest's University Square, despite mass resignations of government officials earlier in the day. Normal subway transport hours were extended to 1am to allow the protesters a way to get home.

Demonstrations were also reported in other smaller cities around the country -- I've watched video footage of the crowds in Timisoara tonight -- remember, we are ten hours behind Romania here in San Francisco.

As internet social media was employed to organize these rallies, this week's uprising is being dubbed "The FACEBOOK Revolution."

Surviving members of the "Goobye to Gravity" heavy-metal band said all proceeds from sales of their latest music album will be donated to hospital care for the victims of Friday's Club Colectiv fire.
